Secretary Michael R. Pompeo’s Call with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy

Secretary Michael R. Pompeo spoke today to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to express condolences for the lives lost in the crash of Ukrainian International Airlines flight 752. Secretary Pompeo offered the U.S. government’s full assistance in the ongoing investigation. 

He also reaffirmed support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and underscored our long-term strategic partnership.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's office says U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is scheduled to visit Ukraine late in January 2020. 

"The parties have coordinated a further schedule of bilateral contacts between Ukraine and the United States at the highest level, mainly Pompeo's visit to Ukraine late in January, which was rescheduled from January 3," the office said following a phone call between Zelensky and Pompeo.
